TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

The conditions I treat often result in significant life changes and loss of independence. My approach is collaborative, focusing on helping you develop autonomy and a sense of mastery over your symptoms—key elements of recovery.

I draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Methods, Mindfulness and Hypnotherapy. I also provide medication recommendations when appropriate, coordinating with your primary care or neurology team.
INITIAL CONSULTATION

Telehealth Session
I accept self-referrals as well as referrals from neurologists, psychiatrists and other health care professionals. Consultation appointments are conducted via HIPAA-compliant video (telemedicine).
​Initial consultations typically last 60-80 minutes. During this session, we'll develop a collaborative treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. You'll receive written recommendations following the visit. ​​​​​​​​
FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS
Following the initial consultation, I may communicate a treatment plan to your local healthcare team or recommend ongoing therapy sessions. Follow-up visits typically last 25-50 minutes and focus on skill development in areas such as self-observation, mindfulness, effective communication and symptom management. Hypnotherapy is also available, with the option to learn self-hypnosis techniques.​
